I had no idea Canada could be so much fun. -Bruce Willis
I think it's finally time to write in English. Yet, I'm not that good at writing and speaking this beutiful language, that someone could not understand me (I can't use too difficult language and grammar), so don't worry guys and please do not miss this note by thinking you wouldnt get anything about it! Anyways, I tried to do this as much as possible without a dictionary. So, I have to apologize already; there will be lots of mistakes. No one is perfect, eh?
Anyways, this is gonna be such a long note, I hope you won't get bored, lol.
Soooo. As you can see it's December, yes !! Of course, it means that most of people start to look for Christmas spirit; wherever you go, Christmas lights are stunning, and excited athmosphere is like palpable ! And, just turn on your radio and after Christmas, you don't wanna hear any of those Christmas songs, not until next year's celebration! Believe me, I've been listening Christmas songs since the end of November, and now it's December 9th (and you can only guess how it feels when I hear Jingle Bells from the radio at least 10 times in a day, but well I like Basshunter's remix lmao), so I really know what I'm talking about.
However, I love Christmas! Some people don't, but I really enjoy lights shining, good food and SNOW. ♥ Holy shit I'm so confused 'cause we don't have that much snow here than they have in Finland! I miss those big snowbanks and candles! Here, well yes we had some snow few days ago, but you still can see the grass! That's so poor. Anyways there should be coming a HUGE snowstorm from south, which hopefully means snow days = no school!
My friend sent me an advent calender from Finland! Guess what... Mooooomins omg! I was so happy and I laughed so hard, it really made my day! I love it. Now, it's on the wall between my sisters' calenders! I love you Anne!
So I found my Christmas spirit couple weeks ago when I went to watch Santa Claus parade with Chris and Chad. It was a big parade! There were music, magic elves, fantastic cars and trucks which were decorated with colorful Christmas lights, horses with Christmas bells on their neck, and policemen and firemen drove pedal cars! Many students from local elementary- and high schools had their own perfomances; dancing, singing and funny costumes. From St.Matt's, there wasn't anyone, unfortunately. At the end of the parade there was, who else but Santa Claus (who is from Finland).
Mmhyess. At the same weekend I saw the parade, we went to Montreal for a ringette game (we lost, urgh). Hannah and her Mum took me to the downtown for shopping! I was so excited, and I took lots of awesome photos, I love Montreal!

OMG I totally forgot to tell you something ! I'll be on the Ottawa news, on TV soon ! So what happened; some TV guy wanted to interview me; he was interested in asking questions from some young athlete who comes from another country. And I can say, I was SO shocked. But, for nothing. It was very easy after all, pretty simple questions and they were all about something I really knew what to answer; Finland, ringette, family, and my life here. Yes, I found the English speaking a bit hard in front of the camera. But I liked it though! Such an awesome experience -I guess not many of exchange students have an opportunity to be on TV!

It was Finland's Independence Day on Monday! I was really excited and Chris wished me Happy Independence Day in Finnish! It was funny. Of course I wanted to show everyone how proud I was by being a Finnish girl! So, in the morning Hannah drew Finland's flag on my cheek. I was wearing a Finland scarf and a beanie, and all people just smiled to me haha. Greaaat day. But I missed home that day. I missed Finland, and it's weird.
Hmh. Soon I should go to the mall and spend my all money for Christmas shopping. I'm so excited! I love to spend my (Dad's) money, and I really enjoy when I can give something, like gifts, to someone else. I love those smiling faces when my loves get my surprises!
We were supposed to travel to Florida this Christmas. Well it might still happen, but I think my hostfamily is thinking about my opinion; I really would like to experience the real Canadian Christmas. I'm not too excited to spend my holiday under the burning sun on the beach; I love white Christmas with all lights and snow! But, I don't mind if we would travel to Florida later, and New York is calling me already anyways. I hope I could find a stunning prom dress from there!
Yesterday it was the time for grad photos! For first time in my life I was a bit afraid to go to in front of the camera (I mean school photos). I was surprised about that the photographer didn't say to me "You should smile with your teeth!". In fact, she was really ok with my smile; I think she liked my dimples! I'll show you my grad photos later, I hope I did them well!
Ahm. Hmmm. Dudes, in fact I wouldn't like to tell you everything right now in this note (lol in fact I'm too lazy to write anymore, especially in English)! There is going to happen a lot before Christmas; rookie party, my birthday, Finnish Christmas party...
So don't worry guys, I'll be back (at least) before the New Year's Day!
Take care, xoxoo.
